You got some Marvel in my Mickey!
But will they be two great tastes that go great together?
Although there's some business left to take care of first, Disney has agreed to buy Marvel Comics for $4 billion. For those of you who are shareholders, the news is a bit mixed, so keep a close eye on it.
I'm hesitant to give my personal opinions on this, because no one knows how it will turn out. It may barely be noticable. (Anyone remember back in the early 90s when Disney had the rights to Rocky and Bullwinkle and Alvin and the Chipmunks? All that happened was that they released some videos and then lost interest after a couple of years.) Because of the presence of Marvel in Universal's theme parks, I doubt we'll see rides, shows, or anything along the lines of what Disney did with Lucas and Henson. (Please, please Disney, don't make Universal get rid of Marvel Superhero Island in IOA! I beg you! I will chain myself to the Incredible Hulk Rollercoaster if you try it!)
Toon Disney, then later Disney XD, has been showing Marvel cartoons for a few years now. Disney got the rights to release the 90s X-Men series on DVD. So I suppose we shouldn't be surprised this happened. ... I'm still shocked, though.
As I type this, I'm wearing PJ pants with Mickey's face all over them and I'm wrapped up in an Incredible Hulk blanket. I love Disney and Marvel. Both were a huge part of my childhood, and continue to provide a good chunk of my entertainment. Seeing them together, though, that's a little weird. I'm sure people were saying the same thing when news broke of a Star Wars ride in DL and WDW, though.
... Am I the only one who just thought, "ZOMG! X-MEN IN KINGDOM HEARTS!"

and the outside (the phantom manor in phantom canyon) is no residual hauntings. but it could be Phantom Canyon durring the curse...

Do you think "residual" could be applied to the HM, too, or just PM? HM has the advantage of the Ghost Host's narration throughout most of the ride, giving us the sense the ghosts know we're there and are putting on a show for us. Plus, I think they're clearly interacting in the Corridor of Doors. But maybe some be could be considered residual, such as the candlebra in the hall or even the dancers. Really depends on how you look at it, though.
